Exept for a few paid staff members at the Animal Center, all other jobs and duties are preformed by our dedicated volunteers. Without them, Los Cabos Humane Society would not be what it is today. With more volunteers, we can continue to grow and offer more services to the Los Cabos communities.
VOLUNTEERS help with bathing, walking and general care...
There is always a need for people to walk dogs. Our Marina walkers walk dogs on the marina and are great P.R. for LCHS.
WE WANT TO THANK THE VARNS FAMILY: CHRIS, AMANDA, ALLIE (12) and MADI (8) FOR THEIR INCREDIBLE HELP TODAY, JUNE 29th 2010. THEY ARE HERE ON VACATION AND SPENT THE ENTIRE DAY WITH US WALKING DOGS, HELPING WITH THE CLEANING OF THE CATTERY AND KENNELS, GIVING LOTS OF LOVE TO THE DOGS...
ON TOP OF THAT, THEY BROUGHT AN AMAZING LUNCH FOR ALL OF THE DOCTORS AND STAFF! WOW! YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME ANYTIME... THANK YOU -THANK YOU -

Our shelter dogs need to be walked twice per day - we ALWAYS need more volunteers to help walk dogs so they get some exercise and play time.

VOLUNTEER ALERT! - COME JOIN OUR TEAM of DOGWALKERS!
We live in such a beautiful community here in Los Cabos.
We believe that in this community of almost 400,000 people – we can find many dog lovers.
We are organizing teams of 3 people per day in the mornings ( 9:00 -11:00 am ) - and 3 in the afternoons (5:30-7:30pm).
We are still needing people for Monday, Friday and Sunday mornings... The afternoon walks are still needing team members every day.
If there are more thn three - even better! That means better walks for the dogs, and the more time they can be out... Plus there may be extra time for bathing and playing with the cats etc...
At the center they rely on us, the volunteers, to give the dogs and cats attention, love and socialization as the staff works hard all day to keep the center clean, the dogs and cats fed and medicine administered... We make sure that the dogs and cats have soft beds and get the exersize they need.
The staff can assist you at first with getting the dogs out of their pens, until you get used to it.... It is really easy and fun once you get to know them! Just wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty as the trails are all dirt...
